Water connections increase by 30 per cent in Dubai

DUBAI // Dubai Electricity and Water Authority recorded a 30 per cent increase in water connections last year compared to 2013.

The authority said the increase in demand was led by new developments and growth across the emirate.

These included construction, economic, industrial, and service projects.

DEWA recorded 6,950 new connections in 2014, which increased total connections to 30,300, compared with 23,350 in 2013.
