The UAE has come out top on a global list of donors to development projects.
The Development Assistance Committee of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development said on Wednesday that, in proportion to its Gross National Income, the UAE’s assistance last year amounted to Dh18 billion, or 1.17 per cent of its GNI.
The largest countries by amount of money were the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Japan.
