Ras Al Khaimah’s ruler has praised the role of the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development for its support of the emirate’s economy.
At the Reyada Forum on Monday, Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, said that the fund played a vital role in promoting sustainable development by supporting local businesses.
He said that the investments made by the fund have started to produce results through the establishment of small and medium enterprises in the emirate.
During the forum, Sheikh Saud called for the encouragement and motivation of youth to help them contribute towards further economic development.
Hussein Jassim Al Nowais, chairman of Khalifa Fund, said his organisation has held more than 24 training courses in RAK, of which 450 UAE men and women have benefited.
Dr Amna Khalifa, chairperson of Ajman Women Entrepreneurs, commended national policies that have seen 12,000 female entrepreneurs begin contributing to the national economy.
