Sheikh Saif bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, passed on his condolences to the family of Saif Youssef Ahmed Al Falasi, who was killed in the line of duty in Yemen on Tuesday during the Saudi-led coalition Operation Restoring Hope.

Sheikh Saif paid his respects at the family’s home in Al Warqa, Dubai on Wednesday after the serviceman’s funeral in the area on Tuesday night.

He prayed for Al Falasi’s soul to rest in peace and for his family to be granted patience and solace.

Al Falasi, 35, leaves behind a wife and five children.

Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, also extended condolences to Al Falasi’s family yesterday. During a visit to the family home, he stressed that the sacrifices of loyal Emiratis for the protection of the security of Arab societies were a source of pride for all Emiratis.

Their sacrifices will bear witness to the country’s commitment to defending its brothers as well as bravery in not hesitating to answer the call of duty, he said, according to the state news agency, Wam.
