ABU DHABI // Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, on Monday received the French minister of defence, Jean-Yves Le Drian, at the Shatea Palace.
Discussions between Sheikh Mohammed, also Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Mr Le Drian centred on promoting and enhancing relations between their countries, the state news agency Wam reported.
Military and defence co-ordination were also discussed.
Sheikh Mohammed and Mr Le Drian exchanged views about issues of common concern, including developments in the region, and efforts by the two countries to achieve regional peace and stability.
Others present at the meeting included Mohammed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Khaldoon Al Mubarak, chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority and Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Undersecretary for the Crown Prince’s Court.
French ambassador Michel Miraillet also attended.
