ABU DHABI // Qualified and skilled Emiratis are the driving force for achieving the country’s vision, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, told graduates from the UAE Government Leaders Programme.

“We want to prepare exceptional leaders capable of effecting positive changes to government work, create innovative ideas that precede future challenges by producing smart solutions and motivate teams to come up with innovative ideas,” he said on Monday at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi.

“Our future government vision requires all to think with a leader’s spirit with farsightedness, will as well as see chances of successes in challenges.”

He said the UAE people wanted see their country among the best countries in the world by 2021.

“We are approaching a different stage with its own details and features apart from previous ones. Hence, it needs leaders that rise to the occasion to tackle challenges and issues that need to be addressed.”

Sheikh Mohammed urged recently graduated government leaders to work with a team spirit to achieve national strategic objectives, happiness and welfare.

The graduates completed an intensive 18-month training programme. They included young leaders from local and federal government and private sector firms.
