Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid presents Arab Journalism Awards

DUBAI // The sister Arabic-language newspaper of The National was among the media outlets honoured at the Arab Media Forum on Wednesday.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, presented the Arab Journalism Award at the conclusion of the forum, according to Wam, the state news agency.

Aletihad newspaper's Rida Saleem won the award for sport journalism, and Dr Abdullah Madani won the award for political journalism.

Other publications that received recognition included Al Khaleej (UAE), Kul Al Usra magazine (UAE), Almaghrib Today (Morocco), Kuwait News Agency, Al Watan (Oman), Al Masry Al Youm (Egypt) and Akhbar Al Youm (Morocco).

Those who attended included Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Mohammed Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Future, and Ohood Al Roumi, Minister of State for Happiness.
