Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, met the country's top performing school pupils for the 2018-2019 academic year on Wednesday.
At Al Bateen Palace in Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed congratulated the pupils and their parents for their efforts and persistence to earn leading scores in their studies. He wished them continued success in their higher

education pursuits.
Sheikh Mohamed said investing in education is key to obtaining comprehensive and sustainable development in a country.
"Throughout history, nations have not developed without the input of inspirational and educated individuals, like you," he told the pupils.
At the end of the event, Sheikh Mohamed thanked the pupils' mothers, saying they played an influential role in nurturing and educating their children, reported state news agency Wam.
