Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, on Wednesday met Lt Gen Khalifa Haftar, general commander of Libya’s armed forces, in Abu Dhabi.
The two officials discussed fraternal relations between both countries, the state news agency Wam reported.
Sheikh Mansour also “affirmed the UAE’s permanent support to legitimacy in Libya and its internationally recognised government”, Wam reported.
The Deputy Prime Minister also noted the UAE’s wish for stability and security in Libya.
