ABU DHABI // Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoun, director of the Martyrs’ Families’ Affairs Office of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, visited homes in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Al Ain to meet family members of servicemen who died in the line of duty.
His visit was part of the Tawaul or “communication” initiative that aims for direct interaction with the relatives, the state news agency Wam reported.
Sheikh Khalifa said his visit was in keeping with calls from Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to ensure the families lead a dignified life.
The families expressed their appreciation for the initiative that they said displayed strong ties between the leadership and Emiratis.
