ABU DHABI // The new anti-discrimination law passed this week is a civilised addition, Saqr Ghobash, Minister of Labour, has said.
The law gives a legislative framework to the culture of tolerance, mercy and acceptance of others, which is already deep-rooted in Emirati society, he said, according to Al Ittihad, the Arabic-language newspaper of The National.
Mr Ghobash said the law reflects peaceful coexistence among various cultures living in the UAE, which in turn presents an attractive environment for those seeking good opportunities and security under the law, in a place that protects people’s dignity.
