FUJAIRAH// Members of Fujairah’s royal family and Sheikh Saif bin Zayed, Minister of Interior and deputy prime minister, have offered their condolences to two UAE servicemen who lost their lives while on duty earlier this week.

Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Ruler of Fujairah, offered his condolences to the families of pilots Ahmed Al Zeyoudi and Abdullah Al Yamahi on Wednesday. Sheikh Saif visited the families on the same day.

Both pilots were killed while taking part in the Arab coalition’s ‘Operation Restoring Hope’, led by Saudi Arabia to back the legitimate government in Yemen, reported state news agency Wam.

Al Zeyoudi and Al Yamahi died when their aircraft crashed during a routine flight over international waters.

Sheikh Hamad and Sheikh Saif expressed their condolences to the families of both servicemen, and recited prayers on their behalf.

Earlier in the week, the General Command of the Armed Forces also extended its condolences and sympathy to the families of both men.
