ABU DHABI // The body of an Emirati serviceman killed in the line of duty in Yemen arrived at Al Bateen Executive Airport on Monday night.

Arriving onboard an Air Force and Air Defence aircraft the body of Lt Rashid Ahmed Abdullah Al Habsi was received by senior military officers with full military honours.

Al Habsi, 34, a father of five, died while serving in the Arab coalition’s Operation Restoring Hope in Yemen, the General Command of the UAE Armed Forces announced on Monday.

His cousin, First Corporal Fahim Al Habsi, also died in Yemen in August last year.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday at Sheikh Zayed Mosque in RAK at 8am.
