22,500 tonnes of construction waste collected in Mussaffah and Al Mafraq

A comprehensive clean-up campaign has been carried out by Abu Dhabi Municipality in the Mafraq and Mussaffah industrial areas.

The municipality, in cooperation with the private sector, deployed dozens of vehicles and collected 22,500 tonnes of waste and construction debris. The work also included landfilling and levelling.

In Mafraq, 12,500 tonnes of waste was collected, while in Mussaffah the figure was 10,000 tonnes.

The campaigns are part of a broader effort to clean up industrial areas across Abu Dhabi emirate.

Mussaffah, for example, is undergoing a quiet transformation. Old and abandoned cars have been removed, street lights and parking bays are being installed, while new shops and restaurants are opening.

The municipality thanked the private sector for supporting the campaign and called for further cooperation.
