An 11-year-old girl has drowned in a swimming pool in the Al Nahda area of Sharjah.
Police said the girl sneaked out with the children of her parents’ friends just after 1pm on Saturday. She was found a short while later and the alarm was raised.
She was taken to Al Qasimi Hospital where attempts to resuscitate her failed.
The results of a post-mortem examination and the case files are being handled by Al Buhaira police.
