DUBAI // Six men have been jailed for two years each after luring a man into a building on the promise of having sex with women before stabbing him and stealing his money.

Bangladeshi M N A, 28, was walking in Naif on January 11 this year when compatriots M A, 35, and M Y A, 24, stopped him and asked if he would like to have sex with women.

The victim accompanied the pair to a building near a hotel in the area, prosecutors said.

“Once inside the building, the pair dragged me under the stairs and then T A, N A, M M and R H arrived and demanded that I give them the money I have,” said M N A, an air-conditioning technician.

He added that NA attacked him with a knife, injuring his left arm, and MM stabbed him in the chest.

“I fell unconscious and I woke up in the hospital,” said the victim.

Prosecutors said the gang stole Dh7,050 from M N A.

Emirati police officer A A, 32, said M A was arrested M A on January 18. “He admitted that he was assigned with M Y A to lure the victim and bring him to settle a financial dispute between the victim and M M.”

M A and M Y A along with T A, 25, N A, 28, M M, 37, and R H, 29, all from Bangladesh, will all be deported after completing their sentence.
