A gang charged with shop robbery in Al Dhaid city has been arrested by CID officers in Sharjah.
One is Emirati and the other two are from the Comoros Islands.
The Central Region Police Department was notified that a shop in Al Dhaid was being robbed. Police and a CID team rushed to the scene and spotted a man with stolen items hurrying towards a vehicle with another man inside. Police surrounded the vehicle and arrested the suspects.
A police official said the men confessed to the robbery in question as well as three other shop robberies in Al Dhaid with another person. That person was later arrested by CID and confessed.
The first three defendants were referred to Sharjah public prosecution.
