Fujairah Ruler grieves with family of man who died in Thailand

Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed meets the family of the young Emirati man whose body was discovered in Thailand.

The Ruler of Fujairah, Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed, yesterday met the family of Sultan Al Shehhi, a young Emirati who died in Thailand last week.

Sheikh Hamad expressed his sympathy and prayed for the 21-year-old military officer, whose cause of death is still unknown.

The young man had gone to Thailand with friends to celebrate his graduation as an officer from Zayed Military College in Al Ain.

His body was recovered on Friday at a waterfall in Phuket.

Hundreds attended the funeral on Saturday in the East Coast village of Qirat, where the man was raised.
