Allah has ordered us to think and expand our horizons to excel, Muslims will be told on Friday.
Today’s sermon cites examples from the Quran featuring references to the importance of seeking wisdom and morals, thought and intellect.
“So learn a lesson, O ye who have eyes!” instructs a verse from the Quran.
Allah told us stories of previous prophets and humans to give us sources of morals and reflection.
“Allah coineth the similitudes for mankind in order that they may reflect.”
“In their history verily there is a lesson for men of understanding. It is no invented story but a confirmation of the existing [scripture] and a detailed explanation of everything, and a guidance and a mercy for folk who believe,” says another verse.
The sermon recommends worshippers reflect back on their daily actions: “if one finds good in it he should stick to it and try to do more of it, and if he found it to be otherwise he should hurry to correct and fix the situation.”
As a verse from the Quran also says: “On that day man is told the tale of that which he hath sent before and left behind. Oh, but man is a telling witness against himself,”
A sane person is one who always thinks how to upgrade his self and to increase his good actions.
As the prophet’s companion and second Muslim caliphate Omar Bin Al Khattab once said: “Hold yourself accountable before you are held accountable and weigh your deeds before they are weighed for you.”
