The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation has begun distributing 150,000 meals a day at the Capital Mosque in Minsk, Belarus, as part of a Ramadan iftar project.
The project, which is being organised and funded by President Sheikh Khalifa, aims to implement the teachings of Islam and strengthen bonds among communities, as well as alleviate their burden during the holy month.
The UAE Embassy in Ireland has also started to implement charitable programmes for Ramadan at the Dundalk Muslim Community Mosque.
