ABU DHABI // A man provided forged Saudi Arabian driving licences to a number of young men the Appeals Court was told on Sunday.

“Since they can drive with licences from the GCC they issue those licences to use until they reach 18,” said chief justice Dr Khairi Al Kabbash.

A A, an Emirati, denied providing the young men with the licences and denied knowing them.

However, an Etisalat report showed there had been contact between A A and those mentioned.

The forensics lab also proved the licences were forged.

His lawyer Tarek Al Serkal insisted that the court waited for the report requested from the traffic department in Saudi Arabia.

In an earlier hearing, Mr Al Serkal argued that no test results showed how and why the cards were forged.

The case was adjourned until next month.
