Flat fight pair found to have 13kg of heroin

Police found out about a dispute between two men high on drugs when one of them tried to climb out the window of the first-floor flat and a neighbour complained.

AJMAN // Two African men have been arrested in possession of 13kg of heroin, police said on Monday.

Col Saeed Humaid Nasser, director of the Anti-Narcotics Department at Ajman Police, said Al Nuaimia Police Station received a call about a dispute in a first-floor flat where someone was trying to climb down from a window.

Police arrived at the scene and arrested the pair, T A A and M M T, but officers noticed that they were both high.

Col Nasser said an officer noticed bags that smelled bad, rousing suspicions that they contained drugs. Police seized the bags and sent a sample to a forensic lab, which discovered that it was heroin.

The African men also tested positive for heroin and their case has been sent to prosecutors.
