RAS AL KHAIMAH // A sponge factory in Ras Al Khaimah was destroyed by a fire on Friday morning.
According to Al Ittihad, The National's sister publication, sources at RAK Civil Defence said the fire, in Al Gheel, was reported in the early hours of Friday.
Six Civil Defence and rescue teams from RAK and neighbouring emirates were dispatched to the scene to put out the fire and prevent it from spreading.
No injuries were reported.
