An Etihad flight had to be diverted en-route to Moscow for what the airline described as “operational reasons”.

Flight EY69, an Airbus 320, was flying from Abu Dhabi to the Russian capital yesterday when it was diverted to the nearby city of Rostov.

“The aircraft landed without incident,” said an Etihad statement.

Etihad said it would not add further to the details given in the statement, after Bloomberg quoted Russia’s Interfax news agency as reporting that the diversion to Rostov-on-Don in Southern Russia was due to a loss of pressure in the cabin.
