Vouchers to purchase Eid Al Adha sacrificial animals and Eid clothing were on Sunday distributed to the families of martyrs and those injured in the Governorate of Abyan in Yemen.

Emirates Red Crescent distributed the aid as part of the 'Zayed Legacy to Support the Yemeni People' campaign.

Eid clothing and children’s gifts, as well as cash and gift vouchers, were distributed to under-privileged families so they may purchase items in preparation for Eid festivities. ERC teams previously visited Aden and Mukalla in the Governorate of Hadramaut as part of the campaign.

Launched on August 20, the 'Zayed's Legacy to Support Yemeni People' campaign will continue until the third day of Eid Al Adha and runs alongside another campaign, 'Their Happiness is our Eid,' whereby ERC will distribute more than Dh45 million worth of food and clothes in 67 countries. The campaign hopes to reach more than 215,000 under-privileged families worldwide.
