Sunny skies and windy weather have been forecast for the last weekend of the year.

Wind speeds ranging from 15 to 25 kmph will pick up to touch 32 kmph at times, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.

The temperature will range between lows of 16°C and highs of 25°C in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, 14°C to 24°C in Sharjah, 19°C to 25°C in Fujairah and 15°C to 26°C Ras Al Khaimah

Temperatures are set to dip particularly over the coastal areas at the start of next week.

The nights will remain cloudy with fog formation and low visibility in the early morning hours.

Motorists have been warned to be careful with visibility down to less than 1,000 metres in some internal areas in the morning.

The sea will turn rough from Sunday onwards with winds picking up in the Arabian Gulf.

The lowest temperature recorded over the country was 5.5°C in Raknah.
