The unsettled weather across parts of the UAE will continue into the weekend, forecasters have warned.
The National Centre of Meteorology on Wednesday said to expect showers in eastern and northern parts of the country.
Northwesterly winds reaching 40 kilometres per hour could also whip up waves of upto 1.6 metres.
It follows a period of rain, hail and flash floods that signal the transition to winter.
In Dubai, police told drivers to reduce speed during rain, while Abu Dhabi warned motorists of fines if they were caught snapping photos or taking videos of the weather while at the wheel.
Meanwhile, the NCM have also forecast that winds could kick up dust clouds over some exposed areas.
Maximum temperatures will hit 35°Celsius, while it could sink as low as 13°C in the mountains.
The Arabian Gulf is also forecast to be very rough to very rough in parts.
