UAE weather: Dubai and Abu Dhabi to see more rain on Tuesday

The UAE is set for a wet Tuesday, in the second day of rain this week.

Showers are expected intermittently over islands, by the coast and in eastern and northern areas.

Wind speeds may reach 45 kilometres per hour by the coast and on mountains on Tuesday, the National Centre of Meteorology said. The weather bureau said sandstorms are expected in some parts of the country.

The centre shared videos of flash flooding in Fujairah due to heavy rains on Monday.

Temperatures could reach 28°C in Abu Dhabi and 26°C in Dubai, the NCM said.

It will be moderate to rough in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

The downpour is set to continue through most of this week.
