Adnan Z Amin has been reappointed for a second four-year term as director general of the Abu Dhabi-based International Renewable Energy Agency (Irena). Mr Amin was first appointed to the role in 2011.
During this time, the number of nation member states has increased from 64 to 138. Dr Thani Al Zeyoudi, the UAE’s permanent representative to Irena, said to state news agency Wam: “In the span of just five years, Irena has grown from a concept into the primary platform for renewable energy cooperation and analysis.”
