Pleasant evenings to start holiday

ABU DHABI // The Eid Al Fitr holidays will start with pleasantly warm nights and hot days.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology is predicting hot and hazy weather during the day and mild conditions at night and in the early morning, especially over mountain areas.

Partly cloudy conditions are expected to continue in some areas, with a chance of towering clouds over the eastern region.

Moderate east to north-easterly winds will blow today, moving south-easterly at night.

Marine conditions will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf, and moderate to rough at times in the Sea of Oman.

A fresh northerly and north-westerly wind is expected to sweep in tomorrow and Tuesday, especially over the western areas, lifting dust over some interior areas.

Conditions in the Arabian Gulf will be moderate to rough, and slight to moderate in the Sea of Oman.

Temperatures will reach a high of up to 42°C on the coast, 47°C in the interior and 35°C in the mountains, while the lows are expected to dip to 29°C, 26°C and 25°C respectively.

Relative humidity is forecast to rise over some areas, especially on Wednesday and Thursday, bringing a chance of mist or fog.
