DUBAI // A fire ripped through a labour camp near Jebel Ali on Saturday morning.
The blaze, which started at 6.14am, gutted 15 rooms of a block used by manual workers. A spokesman for Dubai Civil Defence said no one was injured or killed in the incident.
“From our side, the fire is over but police are investigating the cause,” the spokesman said.
Fire engines from Al Quoz, Al Barsha and Al Marsa were dispatched to control the fire, which was brought under control in 40 minutes.
