UAE weather: another dusty day with temperatures to hit 44°C in places

Parts of the UAE will experience another dusty day on Thursday with temperatures expected to reach 44°C in some areas, the National Centre of Meteorology said.

Winds of up to 40kph could kick up dust clouds during the day, with come cloud cover expected in the east of the country.

Temperatures could reach as high as 44°C in the interior but be as low as 19°C in the mountains.

"[There will be] light to moderate winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust during [the] daytime," the NCM said.

"The sea will be slight to moderate at times in the Arabian Gulf and in [the] Oman Sea."

The UAE has experienced several days of dusty weather, with a dust alert issued on Tuesday.

The NCM forecast more cloud cover over the east on Friday.

[It will be] fair in general and hazy at times over some [interior] areas during daytime," the NCM said.
