Emirates ID cards to replace insurance cards by mid-year

Daman National Health Insurance Company will start using Emirates ID cards instead of insurance cards starting in the middle of the year.

Daman National Health Insurance Company will use Emirates ID cards instead of insurance cards starting in the middle of the year, the Emirates Identity Authority announced on its website.

Al Khaleej newspaper reported that the company made the decision in coordination with the authority and various health organisations, quoting Dr Michael Bitzer.

The Daman chief executive said that the company would initially phase out certain documents and eventually replace all types of insurance cards with Emirates ID cards.
