Mariam Al Roumi, Minister of Social Affairs, and Husain Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, discussed ways of integrating students with disabilities into general education programmes, and the preparation of a coordinated policy for those pupils.
Ms Al Roumi praised joint efforts to integrate disabled children into general education classroom during three strategic cycles, from 2008 to 2016.
She said the first cycle for blind children was complete, and the second cycle, from 2011 to 2013, was for children with hearing disabilities in an called Al Damj Thumma Al Damj, or Integration All the Way.
