Sheikh Mohammed announces grant for Emiratis to study at Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi

The grant will fund master's degrees for nationals already studying at the university and those seeking to enrol

A grant to encourage Emirati students to earn post-graduate qualifications at Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi was established by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, on Monday.

The grant will fund master's degrees for Emiratis already studying at the university and for those seeking to enrol.

Sheikh Mohammed, also Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, made the announcement during a meeting at Al Bahr Palace with Dr Ali Al Nuaimi, chairman of the education and knowledge department; Prof Jean Chambaz, president of Sorbonne University, Dr Mugheer Al Kaili, vice president of Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi; and the French Ambassador to the UAE, Ludovic Pouille.

Mr Al Nuaimi and Prof Chambaz  thanked Sheikh Mohammed for his support for education in the country.
