Almost 180 people were killed on Dubai’s roads last year, a 10 per cent increase from 2013.
Dubai Police recorded 2,975 incidents last year in which 177 were killed, 204 were seriously injured, 764 were moderately injured, and 1,350 sustained minor injuries. Of the 2,975 accidents, 577 were a result of tailgating and 569 were a result of sudden swerving.
In 2013, Dubai Police recorded 2,944 incidents, in which 160 people were killed and 2,344 people injured.
