DUBAI // A drunk labourer is accused of molesting a 13-year-old girl during a concert involving several Indian bands in Al Mamzar.
Dubai Criminal Court heard that Indian AT was with her family on the night of October 16 when she asked her father for his mobile to take some photos of the band.
“There was a large crowd and we were all enjoying our time, but about 10 minutes after my daughter took my phone, she returned crying,” said the girl’s 44-year-old father.
He said that his wife questioned their daughter, who told her mother what had happened.
“She said he stuck his body to hers and forced her to touch his private parts, after which she panicked and ran away from him,” the father said.
The father went looking for the man with his daughter and, when he found him, he restrained him with the help of some other men and called for the police.
The man was arrested and was found to be drunk.
In court on Tuesday morning, Pakistani MO, 22, denied a sexual assault charge but admitted that he was drunk at the time.
He awaits a verdict on December 27.
