DUBAI // A drunk restaurant customer who poked the belly of a waitress before hitting her breast as if he was serving a volleyball was sentenced to three months in jail in absentia.
The Filipina waitress told prosecutors that Saudi F A, 36, was at the restaurant where she worked with his friends on August 7.
The 28-year-old victim, M G, was taking the order of the four customers when F A poked her stomach.
She told him that what he did was ridiculous. “He told me it’s not ridiculous but this is, then he stroked my breast violently in an upwards motion,” said M G. She added that he started laughing loudly with his friends when he did it.
Egyptian waiter A K, 25, said he saw the whole incident.
F A, who was not present in court to enter a plea, was convicted of consuming alcohol illegally and sexually assaulting the waitress.
A deportation order was also issued against him.
