A man has died after his car caught fire following a crash in Dubai.
Police officers said the driver lost control of his vehicle near the tunnel of the city's World Trade Centre at around 12.50pm on Wednesday.
Emergency services were called to the scene but were unable to save the victim. The vehicle, which flipped over onto its roof in the accident, was completely gutted by the blaze.
Brigadier Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, director of Dubai Police traffic department, appealed to motorists to stick to speed limits, especially at junctions and in tunnels.
“They should be careful and alert to any surprises that may occur on the road," he said.
