Dh18 billion in housing assistance given out to Emiratis

Dh18.19 billion in housing assistance has been given out by the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme since it was created in 1999.

The Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme has provided Dh18.19 billion of assistance to Emiratis since it was formed in 1999.

Dr Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, minister of public works and chairman of the SZHP’s board of directors, said 36,700 housing assistance decisions have been made.

This year 2,508 applications were turned down due to incomplete procedures.

Dr Al Nuaimi said that the SZHP, as part of the UAE National Agenda Vision 2021, has cut waiting times for housing support down to less than two years.
