ABU DHABI // The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company Cycle Challenge will take place on Friday after being delayed due to a sandstorm earlier this month.
The 85-kilometre annual race will start at 6.30am near Adnoc’s headquarters on the corniche. It will continue across Saadiyat and Yas islands to Sheikh Khalifa Highway and back.
There will be road closures in place along the corniche starting at 5.30am. Parts of the course are expected to close just before the start of the race and will remain closed until the end of the race at about 10am.
Roads are expected to open again at the end of the race.
The cycling event is sponsored by Adnoc, Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the UAE Cycling Federation.
