Staff at Abu Dhabi Media, which publishes The National, will now have help at hand should any emergencies arise.
The Abu Dhabi Media operations room, which will “manage crises, emergencies and disasters inside Abu Dhabi Media headquarters”, was opened on Sunday in the presence of His Excellency Mohamed Ebraheem Al Mahmood, the Chairman and Managing Director of ADM, and Maj Gen Mohammed Al Romaithi, member of the Executive Council and Deputy Commander General of Abu Dhabi Police.
Also present at the launch were members of ADM’s higher committee for emergency crises.
During the opening, guests were given an explanation of the room, as well as a presentation on its general features.
The room is linked to more than 400 surveillance cameras that monitor all entrances and exits to the headquarters, in addition to channels that will broadcast official affairs and news during emergencies, crises and disasters.
