ABU DHABI // A learner driver was arrested on suspicion of forging his pass slip after presenting licensing officials with two contradictory results.
"When I finished my test I was told I passed," the man, from China, told the Criminal Court today.
He said that he was then handed a slip, but could not read what was written on it. He said he asked a nearby Emirati what the slip said, and that he was told it said that he had failed. He claimed the Emirati then handed him another slip, which said he had passed.
He then presented both slips to the licensing officials and was arrested on suspicion of forgery.
The case was adjourned.
