Gang who stole Dh750,000 from a car in Sharjah arrested

SHARJAH // Five men have been arrested in connection with the theft of Dh750,000 from a car in Sharjah.

A worker at a private company had the money in a briefcase as he intended to deposit it at a bank.

Before he could do so, the car was broken into and the money was stolen.

Sharjah Police arrested five men in connection with the theft, all of whom were illegal Asian immigrants.

A team from Sharjah's criminal investigation department found the men in an apartment in Al Majaz area in Sharjah.

All confessed to the charges and were referred to prosecution.
