DUBAI // An office worker who raped a woman at his workplace then took pictures of her as she cried naked and shivering has been sentenced to five years in prison.
The woman, a recently divorced 39-year-old Filipina, had asked her friend MZ, a 26-year-old Pakistani driver, for a loan. He told her he could not help her, but knew someone who could and drove her to an office in Al Quoz where his friend and compatriot AS, 28, was waiting.
The office worker ripped off the woman's clothes and raped her, before taking pictures of her with his mobile phone as she was shivering and crying after the attack.
She told a friend what had happened and they reported the attack to police.
At the Criminal Court the office worker denied rape, but admitted taking pictures of her naked. He was found guilty of both charges and will be deported following his prison term. The driver denied criminal complicity and was found innocent.
