A driver in Dubai suffered partial memory loss after three men hit him on the head, judges at the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
The Pakistani, 35, said he was hit with a brick that fractured his skull.
He said he was attacked in front of his house in Al Muraqqabat on January 25, 2020.
“I parked my car at around 1am when two men attacked me and asked for my mobile phone and wallet,” the driver said.
He walked away but a third man accompanied the pair and they hit him in the face and on the head with a brick.
“The third man was well built,” the driver said.
Passersby called the police and an ambulance for the man.
He was taken to Rashid Hospital where doctors said the fracture left him with a partial memory loss.
Police arrested the two alleged attackers, both Pakistanis and aged 22 and 30, while the third man remains at large.
The arrested men denied charges of physical assault. The next hearing was scheduled for February 15.
