AJMAN // The driver of a truck that veered off a busy motorway and crashed yesterday morning was probably asleep behind the wheel, police say.
The truck, carrying concrete, smashed through metal barriers on Emirates Road about 9am yesterday and slid down an embankment before rolling on to its side.
An Ajman Police officer who was at the scene said the driver was probably asleep when the truck crashed.
The driver was taken to Sheikh Khalifa Hospital where he was being treated for moderate injuries, police and hospital sources say.
