Back in the 1970s, women would dye plain white cloth, imported from India, Iran or other neighbouring countries, in different colours using dyes made out of ingredients available in their kitchen. At the Qasr Al Hosn festival in Abu Dhabi this year, Halima Al Naqbi demonstrates the process, peppered with stories from the past.
