DUBAI // A sales agent accused of trying to kill his brother with a knife has had the case against him dropped at the Dubai Criminal court.

Pakistani S H, 36, was alleged to have taken a knife from a kitchen and attacked his brother on February 2 after a family dispute, the court heard.

Policeman A A said he was called to the scene in Hor Al Anz after reports of a stabbing.

“The defendant told us that he fought with his brother and stabbed him in the chest,” said the Emirati.

SH’s brother, R S, was treated for blood loss and damage to a lung at hospital.

A forensic report found the defendant’s DNA on the knife’s handle.

S H denied a charge of attempted murder. The charge was dropped when he appeared before the court on Tuesday.
