ABU DHABI // Three government officials accused of breaching a female employee's privacy will have their case heard in Abu Dhabi, after questions were raised over the jurisdiction of the court.
A previous decision assigned the case to Al Ain Misdemenour Court, as the branch of the customer service centre where CCTV cameras were installed was in Al Ain.
Prosecutors argue that the CCTV constituted a breach of privacy.
The Appeals Court ruled on Monday that Abu Dhabi Misdemenour Court, where the case was assigned initially, should continue to handle the case.
The decision means the case will continue from where it left off, without the need to restart the trial.
